The 10-1 Kansas City Chiefs hosted the 2-9 Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead Stadium in an AFC West divisional battle in the NFL's annual Black Friday game. While the home team was the heavy favorite to win the game, their underwhelming offense has been a cause for concern. Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Co. have looked a shell of themselves this year and have relied on the defense and special teams to score victories.

Injuries to key players on offense have played a massive role in the unit's downward spiral. However, they were handed a huge boost ahead of their game against the Raiders, as Isiah Pacheco was cleared to play for the first time since Week 2. The running back broke his fibula in Kansas City's Week 2 win over the Bengals and has been out of action since.

But did his return provide the offensive spark the Chiefs needed?

Isiah Pacheco stats today vs. Raiders

Here are Isiah Pacheco's numbers from the Chiefs' 19-17 win over the Raiders on Black Friday:

  • Rush attempts: 7
  • Rushing yards: 44
  • Rushing TDs: 0
  • Receptions: 1
  • Receiving yards: 5
  • Receiving TDs: 0

It wasn't the most impactful return to action, but the running back was significantly better than Kareem Hunt. His partner in the backfield finished with seven carries for a meager 15 yards, as the Raiders completely stifled Kansas City's ground game.

The Chiefs' underwhelming display on offense was seemingly set to cost them another game as the Raiders were well within field goal range with only 15 seconds left on the clock. However, an explicable botched snap was recovered by their defense, helping them improve to 11-1 and book their playoff berth.

As ecstatic as they'd be about the win, the reigning Super Bowl champions have issues to address, especially on offense. They'll be glad to have Pacheco back in the mix and would expect him to hit his stride in the upcoming games and enter the playoffs in top form.

However, if the running back fails to find his rhythm and Kansas City's ground game remains a non-factor, the defense will have to carry their Super Bowl aspirations.
