It’s hard to get Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, and Josh Allen on the football field at once, but they assembled on a golf course. It was a match for charity on June 1, 2022 by Turner Sports, a division of Warner Bros., with the objective to raise funds by pitting celebrities against each other.

Rodgers teamed up with his rival, Brady, while two of the best young QBs, Mahomes and Allen, teamed up. This produced a fun interaction that included sportsmanship, entertainment, competition, and humor.

“When we started, definitely when (Brady) started and when I started playing, there was actual, real trash talk. Like, guys trash-talked each other and there was a lot of good s--- talk, and we knew who they were around the league,” Rodgers said during a media event in May 2022. “And now, it's more buddy-buddy, you know, social media following each other, memes, this emoji s---, and it's not the same.”
“So, when you talk about Kermit the Frog (Mahomes, per memes) and Josh (Allen) trying to s--- talk me and Tom, a couple old-school, grizzled vets. Come on,” he added.

Josh Allen takes a jibe at Tom Brady while praising Aaron Rodgers for his skill

Aaron Rodgers explained how trash talk was a part of his early playing days when he and Tom Brady started. But now, it’s not the same as the players are getting closer to each other due, in part, to social media.

Rodgers continued that the young quarterbacks would probably need some help from professional writers to work around it, but Josh Allen made the same remark about Brady.

“I think once Tom's script from his team runs out of jokes, I don't think he's going to be able to really think on his feet like that,” Allen said.

Allen then praised Rodgers' trash-talking skills while acknowledging his abilities in the art. However, he was particularly critical of Brady, predicting that the veteran quarterback would eventually run out of witty insults. When Brady heard these remarks, he fired back at Allen:

“I will come prepared like I always do to everything, and you know, it's different, golf s--- talk's a little different than pro football s--- talk,” Brady said.

Brady and Rodgers were serious as the 12-hole golf match at the Wynn Golf Club, Las Vegas, ended with a 15-foot birdie from Rodgers.
