
J'Kaylin Dobbins is a professional American football player who plays as a running back for the Los Angeles Chargers in the NFL, as of 2024. With the 55th overall pick, Dobbins was selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens. In return for the pick used on Dobbins, the Ravens had previously traded tight end Hayden Hurst to the Atlanta Falcons. Dobbins finished his rookie season with nine running touchdowns and two fumbles. He spent the entire 2021 season on the injured reserve after suffering an ACL injury. Before suffering a season-ending injury in the opening week of the 2023 season, Dobbins scored a touchdown.
Dobbins chose to enrol at Ohio State University to play collegiate football. In his first season, Dobbins established the freshman rushing record with 1,403 yards and 1,053 running yards at the end of the 2018 campaign, Dobbins was still the team's top rusher. Dobbins finished sixth in the Heisman Trophy and also earned consideration for the Doak Walker Award and he was named to First-team All-American and First-team All-Big Ten as an All-Purpose player by the Football Writers Association of America in 2019.
