Ja'Marr Chase and Davante Adams are two of the premier wide receivers in the NFL today, but their situations in 2024 cannot be any more different.
The former is once again playing with Joe Burrow after the quarterback's return from a season-ending wrist injury in 2023, but things have not been great with a 0-2 start. The latter, meanwhile, is now on his fourth starting quarterback but has been off to a decent 1-1 start.
Will both of them be level after Week 3? This fantasy breakdown aims to find out.

Is Ja'Marr Chase a good fantasy pick in Week 3?
To say that Ja'Marr Chase has not had the best of starts would be fair.
In his first games of 2024 so far, he has had just 10 catches for 97 yards and no touchdowns. That is a stunning stat line for a player who is supposedly one of the best players in his position.
But fortunately, he should finally find his groove against the Washington Commanders. The NFC East team does have a good secondary led by Benjamin St. Juste, but none of them have been able to consistenly contain wideouts of Chase's caliber.
Is Davente Adams a good fantasy pick in Week 3?
The interesting thing about Davante Adams' stint in Paradise so far is that he has been able to post consecutive thousand-yard seasons despite playing for three quarterbacks.
First, it was Derek Carr, his former college cohort at Fresno State. Then in 2023, he played with Jimmy Garoppolo, who was demoted after a loss at the Detroit Lions, which saw the six-time Pro Bowler smash his helmet in frustration; and then-rookie Aidan O'Connell.
Now he is with Gardner Minshew, who has been able to help him to 169 yards and a touchdown from 14 catches.
And Adams will have plenty of time to utterly dominate the Carolina Panthers, who have had one of the worst records in the league since 2018.
Whom should I pick between Davante Adams and Ja'Marr Chase?
According to Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Tool, Ja'Marr Chase is the better investment, but not by much.
Both wideouts are expected to have big numbers against teams who were poor in 2023, but the Bengal gets the nod based on potential - both for his own prolificness and the opposiion that he will encounter.
Meanwhile, facing off against far inferior competition may inflate Davante Adams' fantasy worth, only for it to plummet once a better secondary opposes him.
