Jack Fox or John Edward Fox is currently the punter for the Detroit Lions. Fox is the second-highest-paid punter in the league with a $14 million contract. He also loved baseball way more than football in his younger days and was a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Fox was initially cut by the Kansas City Chiefs after training camp of his rookie year in 2019. Fox lived with his parents until very recently and on the Detroit Lions’ YouTube channel he said “I don’t want people to know that I’m a football player right off the bat because it wasn’t that long ago that I was absolutely a normal person, sleeping in my parents’ house, trying to figure out what I am going to do with my life.”
Fox’s father goes by the name of Pat Fox. Pat attended Lake Forest College and also played football in high school and in college. After not getting a call for tryouts for two months and longer, Fox was losing sight of playing in the NFL. He had many accolades before coming into the NFL and it includes C-USA Special Teams Player of the Year (2018), First-team All-C-USA (2018), and Second-team All-C-USA (2017). Despite his achievements, the Detroit Lions were the only team that took a chance on him.
After four seasons in the NFL, Fox is now one of the best punters in the game. In just four seasons, Fox has accumulated a total of 15438 kickoff yards, 141 kickoff touchbacks, and 244 kickoffs. He had also been selected to the Pro Bowl and the Second Team All-Pro once.

Fox was born in Dallas, Texas, but grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. For his high school he attended Ladue Horton Watkins High School where he played baseball and soccer. Biggest surprise, however, is his passing game with 1,900 yards and 18 touchdowns as a quarterback.
