Gibbs notably excelled in a victory against #20 Arkansas on October 1, accumulating 206 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns from 18 carries.
Gibbs concluded the season with 151 rushing attempts, totaling 926 yards and scoring seven rushing touchdowns. He also made 44 receptions, amassing 444 receiving yards, and contributed three receiving touchdowns.
