Jahvaree Ritzie is a former collegiate defensive tackle who represented North Carolina from 2021 to 2024. Ritzie is one of the draft prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft. Ritzie attended Robert B. Glenn High School in his hometown, where he began his football journey. The three-sport athlete back in high school also competed in track and field and basketball, as reported by the University of North Carolina Athletics. The Next Gen Stats gave him an athleticism score of 76, which ranked 13th among all defensive tackles at the 2025 NFL Combine, as per NFL’s official website.

Revisiting Ritzie’s post-high school career, he appeared in 51 games for the Tar Heels in his four-year collegiate tenure. The 6'4 defensive lineman carved his path as soon as he joined the Tar Heels by becoming a regular on North Carolina’s defensive line, appearing in all 13 games as a freshman. Tar Hells allowed Ritzie to start in seven games out of the 14 he played in his sophomore campaign, and he recorded a career-best 48 total tackles that year (via University of North Carolina Athletics).
