Jake Browning, born on April 11, 1996, is an American professional football quarterback currently playing for the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL. Standing 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 210 pounds, Browning played college football for the Washington Huskies. After going undrafted in 2019, he signed with the Minnesota Vikings as a free agent and later joined the Bengals in 2021.

Jake Browning attended the University of Washington, playing there from 2015 to 2018. He was among the most prominent athletes at the Quarterback position during the first half of his collegiate career. Moreover, Browning even had some Heisman trophy hype in his second season. But, an injury midway through the year derailed his momentum. After that, he could not capture lightning in a bottle twice and remained stationary in terms of production.

Coming out of high school, he was a four-star recruiter and chose to join the University of Washington. After taking over the starting quarterback position in his true freshman year. As a freshman in 2015, he started 12 games, setting UW freshman records with 2,955 passing yards and 233 completions. His standout performance included a 405-yard game against Arizona State.

In his sophomore year (2016), Browning was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year and earned first-team All-Pac-12 honors. He set multiple records, including a school record of 43 touchdown passes and a season pass efficiency rating of 167.6. During his junior year (2017), Browning broke UW's career touchdown passes record with 78. He was honored with Academic All-Pac-12 Second Team and honorable mention All-Pac-12 accolades. In his senior year (2018), Browning set numerous career records, including the Pac-12 record for career starts and passing yards. He was named the UW coaches’ offensive player of the week multiple times and finished his career with a remarkable 53 starts.
