Jacob Thomas Matthews is an American football offensive tackle for the Atlanta Falcons as of the 2024 NFL season. The Falcons selected him with the 6th overall pick in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft, and he has played exclusively for the team since. As of Week 1 of the 2024 season, he has started in all 163 played games. Notably, he was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2018.

Matthews played football for the Texas A&M Aggies, representing Texas A&M University at the collegiate level from 2010 to 2013. During his time there, he was named a unanimous All-American and won the prestigious Jacobs Blocking Trophy in 2013. Additionally, he earned the First-team All-American honors in 2012. Originally from Missouri City, Texas, Matthews attended Elkins High School, where he played as an offensive lineman. Upon graduation, he was rated as a four-star recruit by Rivals.com.
