Jalen Alexander Hurts is an American football quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles as of the 2024 NFL season. The Eagles selected him with the 53rd overall pick in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. In 2022, Hurts earned Second-team All-Pro honors and was selected to the Pro Bowl in both 2022 and 2023. He also won the Bert Bell Award in 2022. As of Week 5 in the 2024 season, he has recorded 71 touchdowns and 38 interceptions, along with 12,694 passing yards. Additionally, he has accumulated 2,666 rushing yards and 43 rushing touchdowns.
As a college athlete, Hurts played for both the University of Alabama (2016–2018) and the University of Oklahoma (2019). According to Sports Reference, he recorded 9,477 passing yards, 80 touchdowns, and 20 interceptions. He won the CFP National Championship with Alabama in 2017 and was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Year and SEC Freshman of the Year in 2016.
