During the Philadelphia Eagles' Week 16 game against the Washington Commanders, quarterback Jalen Hurts left the game after a scramble and being tackled while hitting his helmet on the ground.

Hurts left the game and didn't return as the Commanders wound up defeating the Eagles, 36-33 with no Hurts for much of the game.

Hurts was placed in concussion protocol as a result of the injury and ended up missing the Eagles' final two regular-season games. They ended up defeating division rivals Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants with both backups, Kenny Pickett and Tanner McKee appearing in both games. However, the major question was if he would be fit in time to suit up for the Wild Card round.

The Philadelphia Eagles will host the Green Bay Packers this Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field. As of right now, Jalen Hurts is questionable to play.

NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport provided a positive update on Hurts' status, as their playoff game nears. He said that Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said that Hurts will practice today.

Rapoport tweeted:

"Notes for practices today:-- #Eagles coach Nick Sirianni says QB Jalen Hurts will practice today. A step forward in the concussion protocol. -- #Bills WR Amari Cooper, who had been away for personal issues, is back, per coach Sean McDermott. Terrell Bernard is good to go."

It's currently four days out from when the Philadelphia Eagles will host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday evening in the NFC wildcard round of the playoffs.

There's too little information and it's too far out to get a good idea on whether or not Jalen Hurts will start Sunday. If he is unable to start, Eagles coach Nick Sirianni is confident in both Kenny Pickett and Tanner McKee, who each played in the Eagles' last two regular-season games that resulted in wins.

Siranni said via the Wilmington News Journal:

"I got a lot of confidence in both of the guys. When Kenny’s had to play, he’s played really well. When Tanner has had to play, he’s played really well. We got a really good (quarterback) room."

Pickett has appeared in five total games this season, completing 25-of-42 passes for 291 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. McKee has appeared in two games, completing 30-of-45 passes for 323 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions.
