The injury status of quarterback Jalen Hurts has been a major discussion topic as the Philadelphia Eagles prepare to meet the Washington Commanders on Sunday in the NFC Championship, their second trip to the conference championship round in the last three years.
Due to a knee injury, Hurts was designated as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, raising questions about whether he would be available for the crucial NFC Championship game.
Hurts' inclusion on the injury report would have given Eagles supporters a scare. However, the quarterback promptly addressed the matter following practice on Wednesday. He reassured supporters that he would still be able to play.

The 26-year-old quarterback told reporters, "It's just been progressing," in reference to his knee injury.
"Taking it a day at a time. I was able to participate today and be involved in stuff, so I'm just taking it a day at a time."
When Hurts spoke to reporters on Wednesday, his assured and composed manner gave Eagles supporters an essential feeling of comfort that he will be available on Sunday.
It now remains to be seen if the former Alabama quarterback will be able to upgrade his practice volume on Thursday or Friday before the Eagles release the official game status.
Jalen Hurts injury update: What happened to the Eagles quarterback
Jalen Hurts was sacked seven times during the divisional round game against the Los Angeles Rams last Sunday. He injured his knee on one of those sacks after getting caught up with defensive back Jaylen McCollough.
Hurts returned to finish the game after spending a short time in the medical tent due to the injury, throwing for 128 yards and completing 15 passes. In addition, he rushed for 70 yards and scored a rushing touchdown.
Jalen Hurts dismissed what happened after the game, telling sideline reporter Melissa Stark:
"I finished the game.”
But when pressed on Wednesday if his knee might impact his approach of attack when he plays against the Washington Commanders, the fifth-year quarterback responded:
"Every game is different, so just want to take it a day at a time and continue to progress.”
Hurts' Eagles will face the Commanders for the third time this season on Sunday. In their two regular-season meetings, the two NFC East rivals each won one.
Jalen Hurts cleared the required tests and continued to play in the Eagles' Week 11 26-18 win over the Commanders after being examined for a concussion. However, he had to watch from the sidelines as the Commanders won a thrilling 36-33 game against Philly in Week 16 after suffering a concussion.
