Ramsey was a college player for Florida State, where he became an ACC champion twice. He also earned the BCS national title in 2013. On two occasions, he was a first-team All-ACC honoree, a consensus All-American in 2015, and a second-team All-American in 2014.
With the fifth overall pick, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected Ramsey in 2016. He was chosen to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2016. He then earned a selection into the first-team All-Pro in 2017, 2020 and 2021.
