Ja'Marr Chase is a professional American footballer who plays in the National Football League (NFL) as a wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals. Chase's professional career began in 2021 when he was chosen by the Cincinnati Bengals as the overall fifth pick in the 2021 NFL draft.

In June 2021, he signed his four-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals of worth $30.8 million. Chase made his NFL debut in a win by 27–24 against the Minnesota Vikings where he recorded 101 receiving yards and a touchdown. He was the youngest player in NFL history to catch four touchdown passes in his first three career games. He was also named the NFL Rookie of the Month.

In the Bengals 34-31 division win Chase recorded 266 receiving yards and three touchdowns and due to his excellent performance he was named AFC offensive player of the week. Chase continued his brilliant performance week after week and eventually, he was named the Offensive Rookie of the Year. In the Super Bowl loss of 23-30, Chase caught 5 passes for 89 yards. The following season he also surpassed the receiving yards record of 242 set by Torry Holt. He was ranked by his teammates 24th on the NFL Top 100 Players list of 2022

On October 16, 2022, Chase suffered a hip injury in the game against the New Orleans Saints and ended up missing four games but still finished the season where he recorded in 87 receptions and 1046 receiving yards, and also he was selected to the Pro Bowl for the second year in a row.

A month before the start of the 2020 season, Chase announced that he would not be playing the next season to avoid any injury and instead will be choosing to focus on the upcoming NFL Draft.
