The Buffalo Bills (3-2), who lead the AFC East after five weeks, will lock horns with the New York Jets on Monday Night Football with one eye on getting their fourth win of the season.
Week 5 wasn't too kind on the Bills, who fell to a narrow 23-20 defeat to the Houston Texans. And if that wasn't bad enough, their lead running back James Cook also suffered an injury, putting his status for Week 6 in doubt.
James Cook injury update for Week 6
The Bills don't have to release their official injury report just yet, considering they will play on Monday night, but coach Sean McDermott confirmed that Cook did not suit up for Wednesday's practice session.

“We’ll see where it goes,” McDermott said regarding James Cook's injury. “We’ll know a little bit more coming off of today and into tomorrow."
Going by footage of Cook's injury, it appears the Bills running back suffered a turf toe injury. Cook didn't practice on Wednesday but was pictured getting a workout in on a bike.
Dr. Jesse Morse, who regularly analyzes player injuries, had this to say about Cook's toe injury:
“These are awful injuries. They are painful. You can’t curl your toes to push off.”
The extent of Cook's injury is unknown but if he fails to suit up on Thursday and Friday, the Bills will have to make do without their lead running back. Sean McDermott will likely turn to Ty Johnson if Cook cannot suit up.
Buffalo Bills vs New York Jets injury report
It's not the Bills who have injury concerns for Monday Night Football.
Aaron Rodgers exited the Week 5 game against the Vikings with an ankle injury before returning to the game to will the Jets to a win. That, of course, didn't come to pass as the Jets slipped to their third loss of the season.
Rodgers later confirmed he suffered a low ankle sprain, putting his availability for Monday Night Football in doubt. However, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich confirmed that Rodgers isn't a major injury concern for the Bills showdown, but the four-time NFL MVP will be held out of practice for the next two days to give him more time to recover.
