Jared Verse is an American football linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams as of the 2024 NFL season. The Los Angeles Rams selected him as the 19th overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, United States, but grew up in Berwick, Pennsylvania. He attended Central Columbia High School, located in Pennsylvania, and was a four-star recruit coming out of high school. Verse played as a tight end and a defensive end for his high school football team. He played his college football for the Florida State Seminoles and was the defensive end for the team. Before the Seminoles, he started his college football career with the Albany Great Danes where he spent three seasons playing for them, from 2019-2021. After the conclusion of the 2021 season, he decided to transfer to Florida State and he would go on to play for two more seasons (2022, 2023) before declaring for the 2024 NFL draft.

Verse redshirted true freshman season with the Great Danes. In 2020, Verse had 22 combined tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, a single fumble forced, and he only played in 4 games due to COVID-19. In 2021, Verse’s final year with Albany, he had an incredible season with 11.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, 53 combined tackles, and one fumble forced. After transferring to Florida State in 2022, Verse would go on to have 48 combined tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 9 sacks, and a single fumble recovery. For his final season with the Seminoles, Verse had 41 combined tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, 9 sacks, a single fumble recovery, and one fumble forced.
