Jason Kelce

Jason Kelce, the long-time center for the Philadelphia Eagles franchise of the NFL is a well-known name not just in Philadelphia but to all American football fans. Having played his thirteenth year in the league in 2023, Kelce is known to leave his heart on the field, making crucial plays for the team.

The Ohio native has truly established himself amongst the greatest to have played his position. A natural-born leader on the field, Kelce was the team captain from 2018 to 2024. What makes him so great is his ability to block in both the passing as well as the rushing game.

While Kelce has for sure made a name for himself on the field, he is doing the same off the field as well. His recent documentary ‘KELCE’ which aired on Prime Video was extremely well received as is his football podcast ‘New Heights’ with his star tight-end brother Travis Kelce.

Entering into the 2023 season, Kelce was caught between two minds whether to come back for another season or to call it quits on his illustrious career. Having decided to give it a go one more time, he finally let the World know on March 4, 2024, that he was stepping away from the NFL. So, let us take a look at his financial position.

Jason Kelce Salary

Jason Kelce signed a one-year deal worth $14.25 million with the Philadelphia Eagles prior to the commencement of the 2023 NFL season. This contract made him the highest-paid center in the NFL especially considering that players in that position are less paid than other positions.

For the 2023 season, Kelce’s contract gave him a base salary of $1,165,000 and a signing bonus of $10,335,000. The contract was also fully guaranteed.

Paying a 36-year-old center $14 million may not happen every day in the NFL, but the Eagles know very well the worth of the player they have in that position and Kelce is one of the engines that drives the offense down the field. The Eagles are regarded for having one of the league’s best offensive lines and the leader of the pack was none other than their six-time First-team All-Pro, Kelce.

Jason Kelce Career Earnings

Over his 13-year career in the NFL, Kelce has earned a little over $80 million. His total career earnings come to $81,708,745.

Having signed an entry-level contract of four years worth a little over $2 million in 2011, Kelce’s superb development and gameplay allowed him to sign a much better contract in 2014 for $37.5 million over six years. He then followed it up with an even bigger 3-year deal worth $24.5 million.

His penultimate contract in 2021 was a one-year deal of 9 million followed by his current one-year $14.25 million deal.

Jason Kelce Hall of Fame

Kelce is not a member of the Hall of Fame at the moment as players have to wait a minimum of five years before they are eligible for the same. He has been rewarded as a six-time First-Team All-Pro and a seven-time Pro Bowler as well. He has been a huge part of the Eagles' success in the past several years with his athletic ability making a difference for the otherwise undersized center. As per a majority of experts, there is no doubt that Kelce will one day be enshrined in Canton, Ohio as a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame along with other greats of the game.

Playing as a center is a challenging job and one that is often overlooked by many casual fans of the game. As there are hardly any stats to back up their play, everything revolves around the eye test and film for the experts.

Having said that, Kelce is widely acknowledged as being the best of the best at his position, especially in the last decade. He has led the Eagles franchise from the front and is a veteran of 13 years. He was an integral part of the Super Bowl LII winning team.
