Jayden Reed spent most of his rookie season as the primary slot receiver for the Green Bay Packers. He entered the year with low expectations, but far exceeded them in fantasy football. Reed's stats in his first season with the Packers included 64 receptions for 793 yards and eight touchdowns. He also chipped in for their rushing game, showing off his dynamic skillset, by recording an additional 119 yards and two touchdowns. He appeared in 17 of their 18 games last season, including the playoffs, and was in the starting lineup for 13 of them.

The Packers have one of the most talented rosters in the NFL, despite also being one of the youngest. Reed is a big part of the reason why. He demonstrated clear chemistry with young star quarterback Jordan Love and improved his output as the season went on. From Week 6 onwards, he recorded at least three receptions in every game.

With another offseason to develop his game and build chemistry with Love, Reed is surely a candidate to take another step forward in the 2024 NFL season. This makes him an attractive mid-round target in fantasy football drafts with plenty of upside to break out in a big way.

Is Jayden Reed a good pick in fantasy football this year?

Jordan Love appears to be a superstar on the rise after an extremely successful first season as the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers. He helped the team advance to the second round of the playoffs and earned himself a massive contract in the offseason. If he can live up to his expectations, his wide receivers will likely benefit from it.

This factor contributes to Jayden Reed being a solid wide receiver to target in fantasy football as he is expected to be a major part of the Packers' offensive gameplan. His usage increasing last season as the year went on is encouraging to his fantasy outlook in 2024. He is expected to be in their starting lineup again this year, so a similar workload could help him to take another step forward.

One potential issue with Reed's value this year is the potential return of Christian Watson, who missed significant time with injuries last season. When healthy, he has been a major weapon for the Packers, so it will be interesting to see how the targets are distributed when their receivers are at full strength. Considering Reed's dynamic skillset, he should still be a featured player.

Upside is one of the most important attributes to target in fantasy football drafts and Reed has plenty of it. He plays with a rising star quarterback in a highly productive offense and has already demonstrated that he can contribute in several areas.

Jayden Reed ADP: Where should you draft Packers WR this year?

According to Sportskeeda's Who Should I Draft tool, Jayden Reed holds a similar fantasy football value as Hollywood Brown and Calvin Ridley. A strong case can be made that he has more upside than both of them, especially considering he is entering just the seond season of his career. He has more room to grow and plays in a strong offense with a solid quarterback.

Reed'd current ADP has him ranked as the 78th overall player and 34th wide receiver in 2024 fantasy football drafts. This gives him excellent value in the mid-rounds of fantasy drafts this year after finishing as the WR23 last season. While Watson may challenge some of his workload, he should be able to make up for it with his dynamic skillset in a favorable situation.
