Jaylen Warren Week 13 fantasy outlook: Will he play this week?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers v Pittsburgh Steelers
Jaylen Warren is a running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers

Jaylen Warren is a rookie running back who plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers, a franchise that competes in the NFL. The Steelers signed Warren as an undrafted free agent following the 2022 NFL Draft.

He was signed to provide depth at the running back position that contained the likes of Najee Harris and Benny Snell Jr. So far this season, he has done just that by providing depth and adding something to the backfield.

Warren suffered a hamstring injury in Week 11. Being without the rookie running back will move Benny Sell Jr. into the backup role. As a result, Pittsburgh will have to rely more heavily on Najee Harris on Monday night.

Jaylen Warren injury update

Jaylen Warren will not be playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers in their upcoming game against the Atlanta Falcons, a game which could have been tailor-made for his style of play.

Warren is officially ruled out for Monday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. He picked up a hamstring injury in his last game against the Cincinnati Bengals, which his team lost. Warren will be hoping to return after a couple of weeks, with the timeframe for his comeback pretty unclear.

The Pittsburgh Steelers want the rookie to come back soon, as they lack quality depth in the position. At the moment, it's just Najee Harris and Benny Snell Jr. that they can rely on for the position. Moreover, a team that lacks a solid choice at quarterback would surely need healthy and able options at the RB slot.

Jaylen Warren's 2022 season stats

Jaylen Warren's name was not called during the 2022 NFL Draft, proving to be a blessing in disguise for the Oklahoma State University alum. He has been doing great this season, ridiculing those selected before him.

He's clearly doing something right, as he bumped incumbent RB2 Benny Snell Jr. right down the pecking order.

Jaylen Warren has put up a stat line of 38 attempted rushes, 190 rushing yards, and zero touchdowns in 10 games played in his rookie season. He is still looking for his first-ever touchdown, but at this rate, that should be pretty soon.
