Jets schedule 2024: Predicting every loss Aaron Rodgers and co. will suffer on 2024 slate of games

Last season, the New York Jets were destined to make a playoff run with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. In one of the biggest trades in recent memory, the Jets acquired Rodgers and many thought they had a chance to make a playoff run.

However, Rodgers tore his Achilles on the Jets' first offensive drive of the year in Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills. With the Jets playing good defense year-round, they finished the season with a 7-10 record but weren't a threat of making a deep playoff run.

This season, with the additions of Mike Williams, Tyron Smith, Morgan Moses and John Simpson on offense, the Jets are looking to make a Super Bowl run.

Using a human vs machine approach for projecting the wins for the New York Jets this season, our human eye sees them winning in the double digits with a chance of winning the AFC East division.

Here's what games we predicted the Jets to win/lose this season:

  • Week 1 at San Francisco 49ers - Loss
  • Week 2 at Tennessee Titans - Win
  • Week 3 vs New England Patriots - Win
  • Week 4 vs Denver Broncos - Win
  • Week 5 at Minnesota Vikings - Win
  • Week 6 vs Buffalo Bills - Loss
  • Week 7 at Pittsburgh Steelers - Loss
  • Week 8 at New England Patriots - Win
  • Week 9 vs Houston Texans - Loss
  • Week 10 at Arizona Cardinals - Win
  • Week 11 vs Indianapolis Colts - Win
  • Week 12 BYE
  • Week 13 vs Seattle Seahawks - Win
  • Week 14 at Miami Dolphins - Loss
  • Week 15 at Jacksonville Jaguars - Loss
  • Week 16 vs Los Angeles Rams - Win
  • Week 17 at Buffalo Bills - Win
  • Week 18 vs Miami Dolphins - Win

The Jets have a tough season-opener on the road against the San Francisco 49ers in primetime. They should win their next three games against three non-playoff teams from a season ago before running into their division rivals, the Buffalo Bills.

A few more losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Houston Texans would give them four total losses before their Week 12 bye. Returning from their bye, the Jets have a tough second half of the season. They will face the Seattle Seahawks, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Rams and then the Bills and Dolphins before the season closes. They should suffer at least two more losses to bring their loss total to six on the season.

The "Sportskeeda's NFL Playoff Predictor" has the New York Jets finishing the season with a 13-4 record, holding the number one seed in the AFC.

Artificial intelligence agrees with us that the Jets will be a playoff team this season. They're high on the Jets, giving them the No. 1 seed in the AFC Conference. The projections assume that the Jets and Aaron Rodgers will be healthy this season. The losses, however, are slightly different than what we predicted.

Here's the full list of defeats:

  • Week 1 at San Francisco 49ers
  • Week 9 vs Houston Texans
  • Week 14 at Miami Dolphins
  • Week 17 at Buffalo Bills

Sportskeeda's playoff predictor has the Jets losing a pair of divisional games as well as their season opener to the 49ers and a loss to the Houston Texans in the middle of the season.
