Darrelle Revis was just signed by the Kansas City Chiefs this week to shore up their defense. He played for the New York Jets for many years and he got a treat playing against them today. The Chiefs' defense got shelled once again in a 38-31 loss to the Jets.

Chiefs vs. Jets second half recap

With the Chiefs trailing 24-17 in the third quarter, Tyreek Hill caught a 79-yard touchdown pass from Alex Smith. Trailing 30-24 in the fourth quarter, Smith threw another touchdown strike to Hill, this time from 40 yards out. Hill finished with 185 yards receiving with six receptions and two touchdowns.

Smith completed 19 of his 33 passes for 366 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 70 yards on one play. After being blasted all week long in the form of talk that he should've been benched for Patrick Mahomes this week, Smith slung the ball around today and played well. Head coach Andy Reid gave up the play-calling duties to offensive coordinator Matt Nagy. Nagy called the game pretty well.

As for the defense, not so much. On the ensuing drive after Hill's second touchdown, McCown scored on another one-yard run, and Elijah McGuire ran in the two-point conversion with a little over two minutes remaining. McCown completed 26 of his 36 passes for 331 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 19 yards on seven carries and scored two touchdowns.

Jermaine Kearse had nine receptions for 157 yards for the Jets, and Robby Anderson had eight receptions for 107 yards. Chandler Catanzaro made three field goals for the Jets from 27, 47 and 38 yards away, respectively.

NFL Week 14

The Chiefs had one last chance at the end of the game. They had a couple of big plays but couldn't score a touchdown on that drive. The Chiefs will host the Oakland Raiders (6-6) and the Jets will travel to face the Denver Broncos (3-9) next Sunday.
