Jimmy Garoppolo is the starting quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers. He was initially Trey Lance's backup heading into the season. However, Garoppolo has been the 49ers' starter since Week 3 due to a season-ending injury sustained by Lance. Since then, he has steadied the ship and helped lead San Francisco to a likely playoff berth for the season.
However, in San Francisco's last matchup against the New Orleans Saints, Garoppolo hurt his knee. This was worrisome for the San Francisco faithful, as they are already one QB short.
Thankfully, it is reported that Garoppolo participated fully in Wednesday's practice without any limitations whatsoever. This means that (barring any setbacks) he will be available for the 49ers' Week 13 matchup against the Miami Dolphins. Hence, we will see the 49ers play the Dolphins in what could plausibly be a practice for this season's Super Bowl

Jimmy Garoppolo's fantasy outlook
Jimmy Garoppolo is as solid as you can get when you talk about quarterbacks. In fact, he is so good that it seems criminal that he was ever labeled a backup. This season has seen him lead the San Francisco 49ers to another winning record, even though he was counted out by the franchise. As such, he is a good pick on your fantasy team, thanks to the consistency he represents under the center.
In Week 12, Garoppolo threw for a similar number of yards compared to Week 11 but only had a single touchdown in this low-scoring fixture. He committed zero turnovers for a fourth straight game and as such, Garoppolo presents a solid option for fantasy managers looking to play it safe. Garoppolo represents consistency and dependable points, something often overlooked in the all-or-nothing world of fantasy.
Jimmy Garoppolo's 2022 Season Stats
Two-time Super Bowl-winning backup QB Jimmy Garoppolo has quite the resume. The Eastern Illinois University alum has regularly been counted out, but that has not held him back.
Jimmy G has put up a stat line of 2,381 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and a mere four interceptions in ten games. With the 49ers pushing for a Super Bowl this year, this matchup against the Dolphins should be something of a litmus test.
