Joseph Lee Burrow is an American football quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL. The Bengals drafted Burrow with the first overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Burrow recorded 2688 yards during his rookie season, prior to sustaining a season-ending injury in Week 11. The following season, he was named 21st on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2022 by his teammates, after recording 34 touchdowns, 14 interceptions and 520 attempted passes for 4611 yards. With 414 completions and 4,475 throwing yards at the end of the 2022 NFL season, he was rated fifth in the NFL. In 2023, Burrow played 10 games and concluded the season with 15 touchdowns and six interceptions.
Burrow initially played collegiate football at Ohio State University in 2015, where he redshirted through his freshman season. In the following two seasons combined, Burrow appeared in 10 games. In 2018, Burrow graduated from Ohio State and transferred to Louisiana State University. During his first year at LSU, Burrow started all 13 games while recording 3,292 yards. Burrow had his breakout season in 2019, where he won the CFP National Championship, along with winning CFP National Championship Game Offensive MVP and SEC Offensive Player of the Year. He was also the recipient of the Heisman Memorial Trophy, AP National Player of the Year, Maxwell Award, Davey O’Brien Award and Walter Camp Award. He also received Unanimous All-American and First-team All-SEC honors. Prior to playing to playing collegiate football, Burrow played high school football at Athens High School.
