With a long 15-season NFL career, Joe Flacco has now become a household name among football fans. Flacco is an American football quarterback; he is presently with the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League. The 38-year-old quarterback (as of November 2023) was born on 16 January 1985 in Audubon, New Jersey to Karen and Steve Flacco. Flacco attended Audubon High School, where he played football as well as basketball and baseball. During his high school years, he was the starting quarterback for his team.


After high school, he attended Pittsburgh University and then transferred to the University of Delaware in 2005. Displaying his talent and exceptional skill on the field, he set numerous school records at Delaware and earned accolades such as the 2007 ECAC Player of the Year, 2007 CAA Co-Offensive Player of the Year and named First-Team All-CAA in 2007.


After an impressive collegiate career, he began his professional journey when he was selected by the Baltimore Ravens as the 18th pick in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He spent eleven years with the Ravens, earning the honor of Super Bowl MVP (XLVII) for his match-winning performance against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII. Flacco has played for other teams as well including the Baltimore Ravens, Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets before playing for the Browns.

Mike Flacco was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 31st round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft and played for four years. In 2013, he was traded to the Boston Red Sox, leading to his decision to retire from baseball. While trying his luck in football, he faced challenges as he was not selected in the NFL. However, in 2014, the San Diego Chargers signed him as the undrafted rookie. Subsequently, joined the practice squad for the Jaguars, New York Jets and lastly moved to Baltimore. His time in the NFL was brief.
