The Cincinnati Bengals will use the freshly signed Orlando Brown at left tackle, which is not very appealing to the player currently occupying that spot.
Jonah Williams reportedly informed the Bengals that he is interested in being traded, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media. Williams has started all 42 of his appearances with the Bengals over the past three years.
After Brown was signed, the Bengals intended to move Williams to right tackle. Williams, meanwhile, is asking for a trade rather than changing positions.

Since Williams has been the starter for the Bengals, they have made great strides. Before losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game in January 2022, they made it to the Super Bowl in 2021 and were poised to make it again.
Yet in 2022, Williams had a significant drop. He went from allowing eight sacks and earning a rating of 77.1 PFF in 2021 to allowing 12 sacks and earning a grade of 61.2 PFF in 2022.
Williams clearly doesn't want to switch to right tackle and instead wants to join a new squad where he can stay on the left side.
What are the top NFL destinations for Williams if the Bengals agree to trade him? The top three fits that make the most sense will now be discussed.
#1 New England Patriots
Orlando Brown, Mike McGlinchey, and Jawaan Taylor were all considered targets for the New England Patriots, but they chose a more economical path. Riley Reiff and Calvin Anderson are two veterans that the Pats have signed thus far, but neither is seen as a surefire starter.
Potentially, Williams could start at left tackle for the Patriots. Trent Brown is now listed as their left tackle; however, throughout his career, he has played more right than left. The Patriots may accommodate Williams' deal thanks to their cap space and Bill Belichick's fondness for Alabama athletes.
#2 Washington Commanders
Charles Leno Jr., a 31-year-old left tackle for the Washington Commanders, is currently holding down the spot. Leno has performed admirably in that capacity during his two years with the organization.
However, the Commanders need to identify a promising left tackle. This is made more urgent by the fact that second-year quarterback Sam Howell is getting the first shot at being a starter. For him to succeed, the team will try to get a franchise left tackle.
#3 Chicago Bears
Considering how poorly the Chicago Bears offensive line performed in pass defense ahead of Justin Fields last season, the team couldn't be pleased with Braxton Jones at left tackle. Fields was sacked a total of 55 times.
The group has been aggressive in bringing in support for Fields, notably guard Nate Davis' signing. They opposed bringing in Orlando Jones Jr. in free agency, though.
Ryan Poles, the general manager, simply didn't think the plan made sense. It makes perfect sense to use some of the extra draft cash they now have after trading down from the top choice in this year's NFL draft to get Jonah Williams.
