We finally saw glimpses of 2023 Kyren Williams last week when he led the Rams' rushing attack with 24 carries for 89 yards and two touchdowns. Behind a banged-up Rams O-line, Williams delivered when it mattered most as LA condemned the San Francisco 49ers to their second loss of the season. But with several running backs trending high this week, is it time to cash out on Williams?
Kyren Williams fantasy outlook for Week 4
The fact that Williams balled out against the Niners despite having to play behind that OL is a positive sign. But Williams has by no means been an efficient rusher this season. In fact, per FantasyPros, he ranks in the bottom 10 in rushing yards above expectation per attempt (-0.9) this season.

The Rams' upcoming schedule is where it gets a little tricky with Williams' fantasy projection. They're on the road against a pretty decent Chicago Bears defense this week and face the Packers at home in Week 5. Those aren't fixtures that will deliver fantasy points for Williams.
You could probably envision Williams feasting against the Raiders after the bye week but they will then face Brian Flores' Vikings defense soon after. The volume is there but those touchdown numbers don't appear to be sustainable. Consider dealing Williams if you have no better options.
Jonathan Taylor fantasy outlook for Week 4
We're seeing the Colts lean run-heavy through three weeks of football but Taylor's Week 2 usage was a little curious for that approach. However, in Week 3, Taylor ran the ball 23 times for 110 yards and two touchdowns against the Bears. He also had one catch for 25 yards through the air so all in all, it was a pretty productive afternoon for the Colts RB.
The offensive line did a pretty good job of giving the offense a platform to put up some numbers but the schedule throws up a tricky matchup for Indy this week. The Steelers are a mean defense, that's been their calling card under Mike Tomlin. Running backs have seen some success against Pittsburgh recently but don't expect Taylor to put up the same numbers he did in the win against Chicago.
Jonathan Taylor or Kyren Williams: Final verdict
Like us, Sportskeeda's Who Should I Start analyzer is higher on Taylor than Williams this week. We're unlikely to see the Colts running back outperform his projected points total of 13.8 this week but his matchup is marginally better than Williams' in Week 4.
