Jordan Love injury status: Packers QB's injury in the spotlight ahead of Week 4 fantasy football 

The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants began Week 4 proceedings but there's a lot to look forward to in the remaining schedule, especially when the Green Bay Packers take on the Minnesota Vikings.

Both teams have adjusted to the loss of their QB1 in different capacities. Sam Darnold looks like a man reborn and so far, the Vikings haven't felt J.J. McCarthy's absence. The Packers, meanwhile, lost Jordan Love to an injury late in the Brazil opener against the Eagles. Love missed Week 2 and Week 3 of action but the Packers picked up wins regardless with Malik Willis under center.

With Love afforded an additional week of rest and stating he was 'close' to a return from his MCL injury last week, here's everything we know about his injury status for Week 4.

Jordan Love's injury status in the spotlight

Love was still limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. That may not seem like much but it's a good sign that he might be ready to face the NFC North-leading Vikings, who boast a 3-0 record.

Not that it matters all that much, but the Week 4 showdown between Green Bay and Minnesota is at Lambeau Field too. If there ever was a game to mark your return, it's in front of the Cheeseheads with a division rival on the prowl.

Head coach Matt LaFleur and the rest of the coaching staff were tight-lipped about Love's injury status for Week 4 and the stance from the franchise is that if ever there was a true game-time decision, this would be it.

However, here's something of note. Last week, Love's teammate Josh Jacobs revealed that locker room was under the impression that he would suit up in Week 3 against Indianapolis.

What happened to Jordan Love?

Late in the Week 1 opener against the Eagles, Jordan Love suffered an MCL sprain after a tackle from Jalen Carter and Josh Sweat. While the tackle wasn't illegal, video footage showed Love's knee popping after the incident.

He had to be helped off the field and was later diagnosed with an MCL sprain.
