Josh Downs has become even more important to the Indianapolis Colts offense in recent weeks. With Michael Pittman Jr. suffering from a back injury, Downs is now seeing more targets and getting more yards in the offense, offloading some of their concerns in the first part of the season.
However, in Week 7, he's the one who popped up in the injury report. The Colts are already suffering plenty of injuries on their team, so missing another wide receiver would be an even bigger problem.

“I kind of just tweaked it against the Jags. … I wouldn’t say it’s lingering. They just taking care of me over here. I’m all good, and yeah, I’mma be out there Sunday again,” Downs said while speaking to Kay Adams on the "Up and Adams Show".
It's unclear on what play his toe problem flared up, but he has not missed a beat. He played in a game the next week against the Tennessee Titans, finishing with 7 catches for 66 yards and a touchdown.
It looks like the Colts placed the wide receiver on the injury report out of precaution. It's a good thing for teams to do in case a bigger problem arises, avoiding fines and penalties from the league.
Is Josh Downs expected to play against the Miami Dolphins?
It's all systems go for the wide receiver to play on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, along with two other teammates who are on the injury report.
Looking through a fantasy lens, this is a player you should be careful with. First, the Colts' quarterback situation once again will see a change, with Anthony Richardson, now healthy, returning to the starter lineup. Joe Flacco did an admirable job, but the veteran is back on the bench in Week 7.
Downs has earned 30 targets in the past three weeks, but he's not officially WR1 in Indianapolis yet and Pittman is also going to play. With a strong trio, his targets could take a hit. It's also important to remember that, in three full games this season, Richardson has never completed over 50% of his attempts.
