Joshua Hines-Allen is an American football defensive end for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL. The Jaguars selected him as the 7th pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. In his first campaign, Hines-Allen started four games and finished with 11 sacks, 44 tackles, and two forced fumbles, with that, he was also selected for the Pro Bowl and the PFWA All-first Team. Before being placed on injured reserve in 2020, Hines-Allen had recorded 13 tackles and three sacks. Hines-Allen had his greatest season to date the following year in 2021, recording 71 tackles, eight sacks, a forced fumble, and an interception. The Jaguars exercised Hines-Allen's contract's fifth-year option in 2022. After being selected for the 2024 Pro Bowl the next year, Hines-Allen signed a five-year contract extension with the Jaguars.

Hines-Allen made a college football commitment to the University of Kentucky. Despite leading New Jersey in sacks, he did not get a scholarship offer from any other NCAA Division I university but as a result, he was selected as a unanimous All-American and was also awarded the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, the Chuck Bednarik Award, and the SEC Defensive Player of the Year at Kentucky. Hines-Allen played high school football at Montclair High School in New Jersey, prior to going to college.
