Joshua Cordell Jacobs is an American football running back for the Green Bay Packers in the NFL. The Oakland Raiders drafted Jacobs with the 24th pick in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, with a selection obtained in the September 2018 Khalil Mack trade from the Chicago Bears. Jacobs concluded his debut 2019 season with seven touchdowns and 1150 rushing yards. In addition to that, he won the PFWA Offensive Rookie of the Year award and was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team. With 15 starts the following 2020 NFL season, Jacobs finished with 33 receptions for 238 receiving yards, 273 rushing attempts for 1,065 rushing yards, and 12 rushing touchdowns. Jacobs played collegiate football at the University of Alabama from 2016 to 2018. During his freshman season, Jacobs recorded a total of 85 rushing attempts for 567 yards and four touchdowns. In 2017, Jacobs did not play the starting two games of the season due to a hamstring injury. In his junior season, Jacobs was named the Most Valuable Player of the SEC Championship Game in 2018.
