Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs is a dynamic threat that has kept defenses honest since being drafted by the Raiders in 2019. Jacobs is one of the most versatile threats, and he brings a new dimension to every snap he takes on offense. He is having a typically solid season in 2022 and the Alabama Crimson Tide alum is currently ranked eighth among running backs in the official fantasy rankings.
Jonathan Taylor needs no introduction. The 2021 NFL MVP award frontrunner has brought much-needed popularity to the much-maligned running back position. Taylor has been immense for the Indianapolis Colts since he was selected 41st in the 2020 NFL Draft. In the 2021 NFL season, he truly showed that he was the real deal. Taylor had 20 all-purpose touchdowns, rushed for over 1,811 yards, and led the league with 18 rushing touchdowns.
If you have both, you should start them both every game. If you have one of them, you might be intrigued about a direct swap for the other. Perhaps you somehow have such a bevy of running backs that you're looking to trade one for a star in another position. Whatever the circumstances, you need to know who is the best fantasy pick for your team and what they are worth.
Although Josh Jacobs has been playing lights-out football recently, Jonathan Taylor is the better option.

Why Jonathan Taylor is a better pick then Josh Jacobs
The crux of the matter is this: Josh Jacobs will be getting fewer touches and red zone opportunities than Taylor. A fit Jonathan Taylor is a must-have for any fantasy football team owner, and that's due to an array of reasons. Taylor plays for a franchise that supports his style of play, as the Colts operate a run-first offense. This isn't the case for the Las Vegas Raiders. Displaying this, they added Devonte Adams in the offseason.
By no means does this detract from the ability or projections of Josh Jacobs. Realistically, you shouldn't consider trading him unless you get a remarkable offer. There are few running backs that exceed his value at this point in time. Perhaps Derrick Henry, Alvin Kamara, Dameon Pierce, Austin Ekeler or someone scoring that level of points would be worth considering. However, these aren't likely to be viable trades.
If you are looking to trade him for a receiver, dream big and see what happens. You want the best, but the best are unlikely to be traded. It is highly unlikely that Cooper Kupp or Davante Adams will be exchanged, but you may get DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins has just returned from a suspension and looked a menace on Thursday for the Arizona Cardinals.
The 2021 NFL season's statistics for Josh Jacobs and Jonathan Taylor

Jonathan Taylor had a spectacular season. The former Wisconsin University standout was firing on all cylinders from beginning to end. In 17 games (all of which he started), he rushed for 1,811 yards, caught 659 receiving yards and totaled a staggering 20 touchdowns for the season.
Who will score more fantasy football points in 2022, Josh Jacobs and Jonathan Taylor?
At the moment, Josh Jacobs has a grand total of 79.9 fantasy points. Jonathan Taylor, on the other hand, has missed the last couple of games with the Colts. Still, his earlier season performances have accumulated a decent 41.2 points for the All-Pro running back. The season is still young, and the star running backs have many weeks to prove their worth.
Between the two, we believe that Jonathan Taylor will score the most fantasy points between now and the end of the 2022 NFL season.
