
Josh Simmons is an American football offensive tackle who played college football at San Diego State University from 2021 to 2022 before transferring to Ohio State University for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. After completing his college career, he declared for the 2025 NFL Draft on December 4, 2024. Simmons played in several bowl games, including the 2021 Frisco Bowl, 2022 Hawaii Bowl, 2023 Cotton Bowl Classic, 2024 CFP First Round, 2025 Rose Bowl, and 2025 Cotton Bowl Classic. He was also part of the 2024 CFP national championship team. In 2024, he earned Third-Team All-Big Ten honors.
Simmons played in 32 career games. He appeared in 19 games over two seasons at Ohio State and 13 games in one season at San Diego State. He redshirted his first year with the Aztecs in 2021. Before entering college football, Simmons attended Madison High School before transferring to Helix High School. As a senior, he was rated a four-star recruit by 247Sports, Rivals, and ESPN and committed to playing college football at San Diego State.
