JuJu Smith-Schuster is an American professional quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round (62nd overall) of the 2017 NFL draft. He earned his first Super Bowl ring during his first stint with the Chiefs in the 2022 season. As of January 2025, he has tallied 448 receptions for 5,279 yards with 32 receiving touchdowns and one rushing touchdown in his eight-year-long NFL career.

Before his journey started in the NFL, Smith-Schuster played college football with the USC Trojans football team at the University of South Carolina. In his freshman year in 2014, he made his team debut against Fresno State where in the following match he had 4 receptions for 74 yards and scored 3 touchdowns. He concluded his sophomore campaign with 1,454 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns as per Sports Reference. In his junior year in 2016, he performed in thirteen games and helped his team win the Rose Bowl. He also went to the Long Beach Polytechnic High School where he played as both wide receiver and safety as per the Trojans website.

His professional career in the NFL began in 2017 when he was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2017 NFL draft. He continued his dominance in the upcoming seasons and he signed a new contract extension deal for one year with the Pittsburgh Steelers worth $8 million in 2021. In 2022 he began his first stint with the Kansas City Chiefs and signed a one-year contract worth $3.7 million. After one lone season with the Chiefs, Smith-Schuster signed a new deal with the New England Patriots for three years worth $25.5 million. On August 9, 2024, the Patriots parted ways with Smith-Schuster after one season, leading to his second stint with the Chiefs in 2024.
