Justin Watson is expected to play a bigger part for the Kansas City Chiefs this week. Watson's route efficiency against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week was 72.5 percent due to the absence of JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Smith-Schuster has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers, leaving the Chiefs short at wide receiver. Mecole Hardman is on IR due to an abdominal issue, which will keep him out for at least four weeks. The Chiefs do, however, still have Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Kadarius Toney, Justin Watson, and Skyy Moore.
Watson should see a significant number of snaps, but not enough targets to score big points. Watson is a high-risk gamble in Week 11 and we do not recommend starting him.

Kadarius Toney has been on the team for about a month, Skyy Moore is a rookie, and Valdes-Scantling has been nursing illness this week. There is a chance Watson will explode into form, but the risk outweighs the reward and a low score is far more likely. The Chiefs will look to Toney and Valdes-Scantling, and more often than not, Travis Kelce.
Justin Watson's fantasy outlook for Week 11
There is a chance for Watson as he will see more snaps this week. The likelihood is that he won't get targeted a whole lot, however, if he gets a few big catches and goes for a touchdown, he will repay those brave enough to start him.
JuJu Smith-Schuster has been the wide receiver having the most success for the Chiefs this season. That extra confidence, expertise, and technical understanding won't be present in critical situations. Smith-Schuster has also done a fantastic job identifying the weak points in the zones.
Although he is not a replica of Smith-Schuster, Justin Watson can provide stature, vertical stretch capability, and power at the catch point. We anticipate him to feature in Week 11.
It will be interesting to see who Kansas City look to in the passing game, but no one will be surprised if it's a mixture of Kelce, Toney and Valdes-Scantling. They have used a committee of catchers thus far and this will likely continue against the Chargers.
