Kadarius Toney didn't make it to the 53-man Kansas City Chiefs squad for the 2024 NFL season. The wideout was part of the Kansas City team that won the past two Super Bowls in a row but was cut on Tuesday.
The New York Giants drafted Toney in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft. He was traded to the Chiefs in October 2022 and played a key role in helping the Chiefs win the Super Bowl in 2023. However, Toney was inactive for all four Chiefs playoff games last season.
Nonetheless, Toney has an impressive CV and there might be some teams who could consider signing him before the regular season begins. Across his career in the NFL, the wideout has 760 yards on 82 receptions and three touchdowns. He also has experience of playing three seasons in the big league.

#1. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers are entering the 2024 season with a lack of receiving depth. Barring George Pickens, Pittsburgh does not have any elite options.
Hence, the Steelers might consider signing Kadarius Toney in the free agency. The wideout has experience of playing at the top level and should be able to work well with quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.
#2. San Francisco 49ers
There's still uncertainty on whether Brandon Aiyuk will stay with the 49ers for the upcoming season. The wideout was included in San Francisco's 53-man roster but has still not practised with the team.
Amid the unreliability around Aiyuk's situation in San Francisco, the 49ers might mull over making a move for Toney in the free agency. The potential move could add another offensive option for quarterback Brock Purdy.
#3. New England Patriots
The Patriots are another team in need of a wideout heading into the upcoming season. Hence, New Engand may ponder signing Toney in the free agency.
At New England, Kendrick Bourne is on the PUP list to start the season and DeMario Douglas didn’t catch a touchdown during his rookie season last year. Amid the issues in the wideout department for the Patriots, they could think of bringing in Toney.
