The Kansas City Chiefs have clinched a playoff berth yet again, but there is no rest. The defending Super Bowl champions take on the Los Angeles Chargers in a pivotal Sunday Night Football matchup that could decide the AFC West in their favor.
While the usual big names like Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Chris Jones have remained healthy, there are a few other contributors who were not at 100% during practice. Who are they?

- WR Mecole Hardman (knee)
- TE Noah Gray (shoulder)
- OT Jawaan Taylor (knee)
- DE Charles Omenihu (knee)
Hardman had been initially listed as questionable after Friday, but he has since been put on injured reserve, meaning that he will not play in the game (and possibly the rest of the season). In his place the Chiefs, have promoted Nikko Remigio to the active roster.
The others were full participants and, barring any unforeseen developments, should see action.
Mecole Hardman's injury update
It was a rough practice for Hardman, as he had been unofficially absent for the first two days of practice before finally receiving that designation on Friday. While there had already been doubts over his role on Sunday, they have been extinguished by Saturday's announcement.
His slot receiver/returner duties are expected to be assumed by Remigio, a rookie UDFA out of Fresno State via California.
Noah Gray's injury update
Gray, meanwhile, had been battling a shoulder injury for most of this week's camp. However, that did not stop him from being a full participant for all days.
He is expected to be Travis Kelce's main backup. But with Peyton Hendershot, Jared Wiley, and Jody Fortson still on IR, he will now be joined from the practice squad by Baylor Cupp, a UDFA out of Texas Tech via Texas A&M.
Also elevated from the practice squad was LB Swayze Bozeman, another UDFA out of Southern Mississippi.
Jawaan Taylor's injury update
Jawaan Taylor has been playing a key role for the Chiefs as their starting right tackle, manning Patrick Mahomes' strong side. He has missed two games so far, with rookie Kingsley Suamatain filling in, and looked set to miss his third after a knee injury limited him on Thursday.
But by the next day, he was fully healthy again and completed all drills, ending any doubts as to his availability.
