Kareem Hunt is an American professional footballer who plays for the Cleveland Browns in the national football league NFL as a running back. Hunt's professional career in the NFL began in 2017 when he was selected in the third round of the NFL draft of 2017 by the Kansas City Chiefs.
In the 2017 season In a game against the New England Patriots, Hunt made his NFL debut. After showing his excellent performance in game after game for the Chiefs Hunt was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month. As a rookie Hunt was named to the 2018 Pro Bowl. In the 2018 season in a game against the San Francisco 49ers, he recorded his second best career game with two rushing touchdowns in the 38–27 victory. In his final game with the Chiefs the Los Angeles Rams in which he rushed for 28 yards and caught six passes for 41 yards and a touchdown. On November 30 2018 Hunt was released by The Kansas City Chiefs.
In 2020 Kareem Hunt signed a two year contract extension deal with the Cleveland Browns of $13.25 million. In the following season in a victory of 35–30, Hunt recorded his first rushing touchdown of the season and caught two passes for 15 yards and his first receiving touchdown. He continued his excellent performance for the upcoming seasons where in the 2021 season despite missing several games due to a calf injury Hunt finished the following season where in 8 games he recorded 78 carries for 386 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns to go along with 22 receptions for 174 receiving yards. In 2022 Hunt requested the Cleveland Browns to trade but the Brown rejected his request.
