Kareem Hunt is an American professional footballer who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs as a running back. His professional career in the NFL began in 2017 when he was selected in the third round of the NFL draft of 2017 by the Kansas City Chiefs. As a rookie Hunt was named to the 2017 Pro Bowl. He concluded his first two seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs with 2,151 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns while starting in all 27 games. He joined the Cleveland Browns in 2019 and spent the next five seasons of his professional career with them. As of January 2025, Hunt has recorded 5,164 rushing yards, and 2,066 receiving yards with 64 total touchdowns.
Before coming into the NFL, Kareem Hunt played college football with Toledo. In 2013 his freshman year in a game against Eastern Michigan Hunt recorded 168 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns as per the Toledo website. Hunt finished his freshman year with 866 yards on 137 carries with six touchdowns according to Sports Reference. He enjoyed his best season in his sophomore year when he rushed for 1,631 yards on 205 carries and recorded a career-high 16 touchdowns. He also went to the South High School in Willoughby, Ohio.
