How Tall is Kareem Hunt?

Last Modified Jan 15, 2024 10:32 GMT

Kareem Hunts currently plays for the Cleveland Browns of the NFL. He was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft as the 86th overall pick. When we talk about Hunt’s career, it has been a rollercoaster ride, to say the least. After being selected in the Pro Bowl in his very first season and almost winning the Rookie of the Year honors in the rookie season, Hunt’s future looked promising.

The Chiefs were excited to have Hunt on the roster as he looked like a great fit for the Chiefs’ offense and their young superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes was also drafted in 2017. However, things took a turn for the worse when TMZ released a video of Hunt brutally assaulting a woman which ultimately led to the Chiefs cutting him off from the team. Hunt was also suspended from the NFL for 8 games without pay for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.

Hunt was also accused of punching a man at an Ohio resort in June 2018. Hunt publicly apologized for his actions when he sat down with ESPN’s reporter and also said that he should have “de-escalated,” the situation.

Hunt had an incredible rookie season where he had 1,327 rushing yards, 8 rushing touchdowns, 53 receptions, and 3 receiving touchdowns. Had Hunt not been involved in the assault, he might have sustained his initial success and could have become a star. However, that has not been the case.

Hunt did indeed get a second chance with the Cleveland Browns and despite the incident, his talent could not be ignored. The Browns took a chance on him in 2019 and initially, he seemed to be a great fit for them. However, concerns about decline in his production started to rise and his rushing totals dipped from 1,327 in 2017, to 841 in 2020, and in 2023 Hunt only had 411 yards.

Hunt’s explosiveness has not remained the same due to injuries and he has only started in 11 games out of the total of 64 games played. Nevertheless, he has still found ways to contribute to the Browns by being a great teammate as Nick Chubb, who plays the running back spot for the Browns, told reporters “Having him back… It’s everything to me and everything to everyone here.”

Kareem Hunt’s Height

Hunt is listed at 5 feet 11 inches which was at the 36th percentile in the NFL Combine. He may not be extremely tall but his effectiveness has always been there. During the 2023 NFL season, after Nick Chubb went down with an injury, Hunt found ways to step up and had a total of 9 rushing touchdowns. Even though Hunt is not the number one RB for the Browns, his rushing ability has helped the Browns win a lot of games.

Hunt is not the player that he once was but can still affect the game when his number is called upon. In the 2023 NFL season, Hunt only started for two games but his 9 rushing touchdowns are the best so far in his career.
