Kayshon Boutte, a wide receiver for the New England Patriots, was born on May 7, 2002. He was drafted by the team as the 187th pick in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. In the Patriots' first game of the regular season against the Eagles, he made his NFL debut. He finished with two receptions for 19 yards in his five games as a rookie. For the 2024 season, he switched his jersey number from 80 to 9. He scored his first NFL touchdown on a 40-yard pass from Drake Maye at the end of the first half in Week 6 of the 2024 season against the Houston Texans. Nevertheless, the Patriots would lose 21–41.

Boutte, who went to Westgate High School, had a senior season of 874 yards on 71 carries with 12 touchdowns and 47 receptions for 1,005 yards and 15 touchdowns. In 2020, he enrolled at Louisiana State University after graduating as a five-star recruit. He started his freshman season in 2020 as one of LSU's best receivers after Ja'Marr Chase chose to skip the season in order to get ready for the 2021 NFL draft. He recorded 14 receptions for 308 yards and three receiving touchdowns in the 2020 game against Ole Miss, setting an SEC record for receiving yards.
