Kenneth Walker has not featured for the Seattle Seahawks in the last two games due to a calf injury, but head coach Mike Macdonald has expressed optimism this week that the running back will be back on the field.
On Monday, the coach said,
“We’ll see on Wednesday. He had a good workout this morning. Feels good. So hopefully we’ll see him out there at practice on Wednesday.’’
Kenneth Walker was declared doubtful on Friday's final injury report and he ultimately did not play in Sunday's defeat to the Green Bay Packers.

Additionally, Macdonald informed reporters last Friday that Walker had improved throughout the week. This could indicate that the 24-year-old running back has made significant progress toward recuperation and will be able to play in Week 16.
As the week goes on, it will become more obvious whether Walker will be available for Week 16, when the Seahawks face the Minnesota Vikings.
He may be limited in practice or unable to take part on Wednesday, but whether or not he plays this week will depend on his capacity to increase the volume of his practice as the week goes on.
Walker is the Hawks' No. 1 rusher, recording 542 yards on the ground this season in 10 games. Despite playing four fewer games than this season, he has only one fewer rushing touchdown than Zach Charbonnet's eight.
Kenneth Walker also helps Seattle's passing attack with a career-high 38 receptions and 271 yards in the air.
Charbonnet has been the Seahawks' top running back for the past two games. He has remarkably amassed 30 rushes for 188 rushing yards and three touchdowns in those outings. During that time, he also added eight catches for 71 yards.
Walker was not available, so the Seahawks promoted rookie running back George Holani from the practice squad for the second consecutive week against the Packers.
Kenneth Walker injury update: What happened to the Seahawks' RB?
Kenneth Walker suffered injuries to his ankle and calf in Week 13, during the Seattle Seahawks' 26–21 victory over the New York Jets.
He only managed 16 rushes for 49 yards in that game, suggesting that he was limited. However, coach Mike Macdonald said following the game that Walker's limitations were not due to any injuries he sustained during play as he felt the injuries after the game was over.
Additionally, Macdonald said last week that the third-year running back's injury is thought to be day-to-day and won't keep him out for very long.
This season, Walker has experienced injury setbacks on multiple occasions. He missed last Sunday's game, marking the second time he has missed two consecutive games this season. He also missed two games after Week 1, when he suffered an oblique injury.
