Kiran Amegadjie is a gridiron football player with quite an interesting story. Born in Hinsdale, Illinois, Amegadjie attended Hinsdale Central High School. Amegadjie has been passionate about the game since he was a kid and has dreamt of one day playing in the NFL since then. While he tried his hand at basketball in middle school, he always had a soft corner for football and decided to give it a shot.

Even though things didn’t go to plan as he had a bad experience with the football coach, his friends convinced him to give it another chance after his freshman year in Hinsdale Central. Despite college scouts taking notice of his game, only a couple of FBS Universities showed actual interest which led to Amegadjie joining an Ivy League School in Yale.

Amegadjie joined Yale University in 2020 but wasn’t able to play any games as the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the cancellation of the entire season. However, Amegadjie used that to his advantage to improve his size and learn the playbook. Since then, he started as a right guard in 2021 and then transitioned to the tackle position and is now less than a month away from achieving his dream of playing in the NFL.

The Illinois native brings many strengths to his game from his quick feet enabling him to set quickly even when challenged to his explosive first step and mobility. He also has a huge frame which packs in a lot of strength as well as an exceptional arm length. Perhaps the most amazing quality though is his ability to not lose his balance and regain his position instantly even when pressured.
