Kirk Cousins, a skilled NFL quarterback, is currently with the Atlanta Falcons. After his college stint at Michigan State, he was selected by the Washington Redskins (now Commanders) in 2012. Initially backing up Robert Griffin III, Cousins eventually claimed his spotlight, notably leading Washington from 2015 to 2017 due to Griffin's injury. He secured records and a Pro Bowl spot.

In 2018, Cousins made waves by signing a three-year, $84 million deal with the Minnesota Vikings, becoming the NFL's highest-paid player at the time. He's since consistently guided the team, clinching playoff berths twice in five seasons. His standout year, 2022, marked a fourth Pro Bowl selection, steering the Vikings to a stellar 13-4 record, and topping the league with eight game-winning drives.

Cousins wows with precise passes and on-field agility. Beyond skill, his leadership and strong work ethic garner respect. Highlights include Pro Bowl nods (2016, 2019, 2021, 2022), leading Vikings to NFC North title in 2022, and sharing the record for most game-winning drives in a season. During his Redskins (now Commanders) tenure, he set franchise records in passing.

While Cousins has been a consistent signal caller throughout the regular season, his performances in the postseason have left the teams and fans wanting more. Perhaps that was the reason behind the Vikings not giving him another contract after the 2023 season. As a result of which, in March 2024, Cousins signed a 4-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons for whom he will play from 2024 to 2028.

Kirk Cousins’ Height

Kirk Cousins stands tall at the height of 6 feet and 3 inches. His height falls exactly in the standard range for an NFL quarterback meaning that most of the signal callers in the league are more or less of the same height. Cousins' height is good enough for him to see down the field and check how the play is developing. He gets a clear vision above his offensive linemen and well as the defensive players trying to make their way to him.

Kirk Cousins College

The Illinois native who was born on August 19, 1988, in the city of Barrington, Illinois, attended Michigan State University from 2007 to 2011. Coming out of Holland Christian High School in Holland, Michigan where Cousins played football, baseball, and basketball, Cousins joined the Michigan State Spartans football team. He redshirted his true freshman year in 2007 before getting the chance to play in 2008. In 5 games, Cousins threw for 310 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception on 74.4% passing.

The next three years at Michigan State were ideal for Cousins in the sense that he got to play in 13 games in 2009 and 2010 and in 14 games in 2011. Although his completion percentage dropped quite a bit, his overall passing numbers improved substantially. In 2009 Cousins threw for 2,680 with 19 touchdowns but also had 9 interceptions.

In 2010 and 2011, it was more or less the same story as he finished the seasons with 2,825 and 3,316 passing while throwing for 20 and 25 touchdowns respectively. He also threw 10 interceptions in both years. At the end of the 2011 season, Kirk Cousins entered the 2012 NFL Draft where he was selected in the fourth round by the Redskins (now Commanders).
