Kris Abrams-Draine, a cornerback, was taken by the Denver Broncos in the 5th round of the 2024 NFL draft with the 145th overall pick. Born on October 4, 2001, in Mobile, Alabama, this 22-year-old is a junior studying in Business at the University of Missouri. Abrams-Draine's sports career started at Spanish Fort High School in Alabama. Initially, he showed his abilities as a wide receiver.

However, a transition to quarterback during his final year proved beneficial. He thrived in his new position, passing for 723 yards, running for an astonishing 1,745 yards, and scoring 30 touchdowns. His achievement drew attention from schools such as Louisiana State University (LSU) and the University of Mississippi, but he finally picked the University of Missouri.

Abrams-Draine began his college career at Missouri in 2020 as a wide receiver, appearing in five games during his first year. However, a watershed moment occurred in 2021, when he switched to cornerback. This maneuver proved to be game-changing.

He established himself as a starter, appearing in all 13 games with 10 starts, with 37 tackles and three interceptions. His excellent performance continued in 2022, establishing him as a crucial defensive player for the Missouri Tigers.

Abrams-Draine's efforts and ability have not been ignored. In 2023, the Associated Press and Coaches named him First-Team All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) in appreciation of his exceptional performance. He also received second-team All-America recognition from the AP, CBS Sports/247 Sports, and Walter Camp. These awards reflect his hard work and improvement as a cornerback.
