Kyle Allen is an American football quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2024 NFL season. He went undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft, but was signed by the Carolina Panthers. He attended Desert Mountain High School, where he began his football journey. During his high school career, he passed for over 8,000 yards and 86 touchdowns. Graduating as a five-star recruit, he joined the Texas A&M University in 2014. After playing with the Aggies for two seasons, he joined the University of Houston in 2016, though he had to sit out due to NCAA guidelines. In his entire collegiate career, he completed 358 of 580 passes for 4,283 passing yards and 37 touchdowns.

Allen's NFL journey with the Panthers began when he started the last game of the 2018 NFL season, when Cam Newton and Taylor Heinicke were injured. He even played most of the 2019 season after Newton sustained another injury. After being traded to Washington in 2020, he made four starts before suffering a broken ankle and missing the remainder of the season. Since then, he has signed with the Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans until joining the Steelers in 2024. In his seven-year career with the NFL, he has played in 31 games, starting 19, with a record of 7-12, completing 442 passes of 705 attempts for 4,753 passing yards and 26 touchdowns, as of December 2024.
