Pitts was able to continue his fantastic momentum throughout his college career and in 2020 in his junior year he played his last season with the Florida Gators football team where in the entire season he recorded 770 yards on 43 receptions. After a successful college career, Pitts announced that he would not participate in his senior year and instead declared himself for the upcoming draft of 2021.

Coming into the NFL at the very young age of 20, Pitts was seen as a big deal because of his tremendous size and strength. He weighs around 111 kg and is 6 feet 6 inches tall. Kyle Pitts is a professional American footballer who plays as a tight end for the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League. Pitts' Professional career in the NFL started in 2021 when he was chosen in the first round of the NFL draft of 2021 by the Atlanta Falcons.

Pitts, after being selected by the Falcons, signed a deal with them worth $32.9 million for four years. In the 2021 Season in a match against the Philadelphia Eagles Pitts made his long awaited NFL debut where in the following match he recorded six receptions for four receptions for 31 yards. Pitts quickly made himself a game-changing factor in the team by showcasing brilliant performances one after the other. In a game against the New York Giants Pitts scored the first ever touchdown of his NFL career. He maintained his fantastic performance throughout the entire season and he finished the following season of 2021 with 68 receptions for 1,026 yards and a touchdown.

He was also ranked by his peers at 91st position in the NFL Top 100 players 2022. Pitts did not show any signs of slowing down in his second season in the NFL, he continued to deliver fantastic performances for the Falcons. Pitts recorded the first touchdown of the 2022 season in a game against the San Francisco 49ers. In a match match against the Chicago Bears, he suffered a knee injury and it was announced that he would need surgery because of the following injury. Unfortunately, this injury put a full stop to his 2022 season and in the entire season, he recorded 28 receptions for 356 yards and two touchdowns. He went on to have a bounceback year in 2023 where he amassed 667 receiving yards along with three touchdowns (career best).
