Kyren Williams is an American football running back for the Los Angeles Rams as of the 2024 NFL season. The Los Angeles Rams selected him with the 164th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. After playing only 10 games in his rookie season, Williams had a breakout year in 2023. He started 11 games and rushed for more than 1,100 yards on 228 carries while missing four games due to a sprained left ankle. As of Week 8 in the 2024 NFL season, he has recorded 1,816 rushing yards, 20 rushing touchdowns, 60 receptions, 372 receiving yards, and 5 receiving touchdowns.

Born on August 26, 2000, in St. Louis Missouri, he attended St. John Vianney High School. In his junior year, Williams rushed for 922 yards and 22 touchdowns and also had 774 reception yards. Williams was named the St. Louis Metro Area Offensive Player of the Year as a senior. Rushing for over 2000 yards and having 26 touchdowns, he also recorded 92 tackles. Williams, rated as a three-star recruit, got offers from States like Michigan, Stanford, and Wisconsin. He committed to the University of Notre Dame and played for the Fighting Irish in Indiana. He played in the first four games as a true freshman. Williams sparkled in the 2020 season which was also his sophomore year. He finished the season rushing with 1,125 yards and 13 touchdowns (according to Sports Reference). He was also named a Second-team All-American in 2021, recognized as the ACC Rookie of the Year and the ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2020.
