Kyren Lawrence Williams is an American football running back and punt returner for the Los Angeles Rams in the NFL. The Rams drafted Williams with the 164th pick in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Williams played in 10 games during his debut season and recorded a total of nine receptions for 76 yards and 35 rushes for 139 yards. The following season, Williams concluded the season with 11 starts, 32 receptions for 206 yards and three receiving touchdowns, in addition to 228 carries for 1,144 running yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. On the NFL Top 100 Players of 2024, he was ranked 78th by his teammates.

Williams played collegiate football at the University of Notre Dame from 2019-2021. Williams concluded his freshman season with four appearances, hauling four carries for 26 yards and one reception for three yards. Williams finished the 2020 season with 19 rushes for 112 yards and two touchdowns, along with two receptions for 93 yards in the end. In 2021, Williams was selected to the second team of the ACC, the ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year, and the overall ACC Rookie of the Year, after finishing the season with 1,125 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown. Prior to playing collegiate football, Williams played high school football at St. John Vianney High School in Kirkwood, Missouri.

According to Draftsharks, Williams has sustained a foot fracture, metacarpal fracture, ankle sprain and a hip strain during his two-year career in the NFL, as of October 2024.

Pedal Foot Fracture (2022)

During a team practice on 1st June, 2022, Williams sustained a broken foot injury and underwent surgery, which led to miss the preseason games.

Pedal Ankle Sprain Grade III (2022)

Williams sustained a high ankle sprain on September 8, 2022, during the Rams' initial kick return in their 31-10 season-opening loss to the Buffalo Bills. On September 13, 2022, he was placed on injured reserve. On October 26, 2022, he was scheduled to come off injured reserve, but was ultimately taken off injured reserve on November 12, 2022.

Inguinal Hip Strain (2023)

Williams suffered a hip contusion during the game against the Colts in Week 4 of the 2023 NFL season. However, this injury did not cause him to miss any playing time.

Pedal Ankle Sprain Grade III (2023)

Williams was placed on injured reserve on October 21, 2023, after spraining his left ankle during Week 6. After missing four games, on November 25, 2023, he was activated from injured reserve.

Hand Metacarpal Fracture (2024)

During the NFC Wild Card Round, Williams had a left-hand injury during the game against the Lions on 14th January, 2024. According to Reuters, he underwent surgery after sustaining the injury.
