The Chargers aren't going through the best moment, as they lost their two most recent games against the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, respectively.

The 8-6 Chargers know they can't afford to lose more games as teams like the Miami Dolphins, Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts are still in the race to secure a playoff spot.

The Broncos, on the other hand, have won four of their last six matchups. Their two losses came at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs, respectively. But they're cruising after winning the last four games scoring at least 29 points (38 against the Falcons, 29 against the Raiders, 41 against the Browns and 31 against the Colts).

This LA Chargers vs. Denver Broncos duel is expected to be an entertaining one considering everything that's still at stake for each franchise. A duel between Sean Payton and Jim Harbaugh should only bring fireworks. The Chargers won the first duel, 23-16, on Oct. 13.

LA Chargers vs. Denver Broncos prediction

After securing the win in their first showdown and given the fact that they're playing at home, the LA Chargers should be favored to beat the Denver Broncos. They enter this matchup as a -3 favorite and with a 57.7% chance to win the game, according to ESPN.

The Chargers are aware that as the weeks go by, they don't have the same margin of error. After a poor performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, losing 40-17 to the NFC South squad, they must be ready to bounce back, shake off the past two losses and start a positive streak against the Broncos.

If they keep scoring 17 points (they've done it in the last three games), the defense will need to bring their A-game to try to stop Bo Nix and a Broncos offense that's rolling.

Prediction: Chargers 17-16 Broncos

LA Chargers vs. Denver Broncos fantasy outlook

The Chargers have struggled to get things going on offense in recent weeks. If Justin Herbert gets hot and finds his receivers tonight, they will have a big chance to defeat the Broncos. JK Dobbins is on injured reserve, meaning Gus Edwards will have a bigger role and his fantasy stock might be on the rise.

Bo Nix is considered the QB18 by ESPN this week, projected to score 15.47 fantasy points while Herbert ranks 22nd with 14.76 projected points.

Javonte Williams and Courtland Sutton could be in for a good game for the Broncos, as well as Ladd McConkey for the Chargers.
