Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was a surprise addition to the team's injury report on Wednesday. It was noticed by beat reporters that he missed practice, and he later showed up with back/knee injuries, leaving fans worried that something could be up with the superstar.
However, there's absolutely no need to panic. Although he had injuries listed on the injury report, head coach John Harbaugh said in a press conference after practice that it was nothing more than a rest day for his quarterback. He's fully expected to play on Sunday against the Denver Broncos.
Lamar Jackson Injury Update: What happened to Ravens QB?
A common practice for veterans in the NFL is to get a 'rest day' during practices on Wednesday. That's exactly what happened with Lamar Jackson. The quarterback showed no signs of injury whatsoever during the Week 8 game against the Cleveland Browns.

"It was a rest day. He's been playing great, and we've got a lot of football in front of us here. We've got a game, a quick game and another big game coming up, so that was warranted today," Harbaugh said.
It's unclear what made the Ravens list back and knee injuries for Jackson, but with Harbaugh calling it a rest day, there should be no concerns whatsoever.
Over the next three weeks, Baltimore will play against the Denver Broncos, the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night Football and the Pittsburgh Steelers. With so many crucial games coming up, it's understandable why they would let the quarterback rest his body a bit.
In the 2024 season, Jackson has 2099 passing yards, 17 passing touchdowns and two interceptions. He also has 501 rushing yards and two more touchdowns.
Is Lamar Jackson expected to play against the Denver Broncos?
Jackson is fully expected to feature in the game, just like he's fully expected to practice on Thursday.
Lamar's 501 rushing yards lead the league between quarterbacks, with Jayden Daniels coming second with 424. Overall, he's 15th in the league. Teammate Derrick Henry leads all players with 946.
