Lamar Jackson is an American quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens franchise in the NFL. He played in 17 games for the Ravens in the 2024 regular season. He threw for a total of a career-high 4,172 passing yards, completed 41 passing touchdowns, and had four interceptions as of January 2025. As of Week 18 of the 2024 NFL season, Jackson threw for 20,059 yards with 6,173 rushing yards and 199 total touchdowns (via ESPN).

The 27-year-old was born in Pompano Beach, Florida, U.S. on January 7, 1997. He attended the Boynton Beach High School and committed to the University of Lousiville. While playing for the Louisville Cardinals, Lamar Jackson won the Heisman Trophy in his sophomore year in 2016. He was also a recipient of prestigious awards and accolades such as the ACC Athlete of the Year for all conference sports and Walter Camp Award as the Player of the Year and the Maxwell Award as the best all-around player.

Lamar Jackson has a postseason record of 3-5, as of January 2025. He has won thrice in playoffs and lost five times. Jackson has had six playoff appearances in the years 2019 (AFC Wild Card), 2020 (AFC Divisional), and on two occasions in 2021 (AFC Wild Card and AFC Divisional), 2023 (AFC Divisional and AFC Championship) and twice in 2024.

He was able to win in the playoffs on three different occasions. His first win came in the AFC Wild Card game in 2021. In that game, he threw for a total of 179 passing yards in the competition, boasting a completion percentage (PCT) of 70.8. His attempts (ATT) were 24, resulting in a passer rating of 74.

His 2nd win came in the 2023 AFC divisional round when the Baltimore Ravens went up against the Houston Texans. Lamar and co. won that game handily by a margin of 24 points. He was the leading passer (152) and rusher (100) for the Ravens in that game. He accounted for 4 total touchdowns in that game.

Lamar Jackson has not made a Super Bowl appearance (as of January 2025). He was drafted in 2018 and has been an NFL player for the past seven seasons. His team, the Ravens are yet to make an appearance in the Super Bowl since the 2013 season.
